Botev (Vratsa) hit with a new FIFA sanction
FIFA has imposed a third consecutive ban on Botev (Vratsa) from registering new players, this time for the next three transfer windows. The sanction stems from unsettled obligations to former players of the club.
World football's governing body has imposed a new ban on Botev (Vratsa), stripping the club of the right to register new players during the next three transfer windows. This is already the third such sanction for the team in less than a month: the first came on August 24, the second on September 3, and now the third on September 22.
Each of the bans applies for a period of three transfer windows. The reason for the sanctions is the club's unpaid obligations to its former players. FIFA's practice is that once the debts in question are settled, the corresponding sanction is lifted within a few days.
