Bologna produced an explosive second-half display at San Siro to secure a dramatic 4-2 victory against AC Milan in Matchweek 9 of Serie A. Samuel Mbangula proved to be the hero of the evening, netting a remarkable hat-trick to propel the visitors to victory.

First-Half Action: Cisse Brace Responds to Early Opener

Bologna struck first in the eighth minute when Samuel Mbangula turned in Nadir Zortea's delivery. However, AC Milan swiftly responded. Alphadjo Cisse leveled the score in the 14th minute before doubling his tally in the 27th minute off an assist from Fikayo Tomori to send the hosts into halftime with a 2-1 lead.

Second-Half Turnaround

The tide turned completely on the hour mark. AC Milan defender Davide Bartesaghi inadvertently put the ball into his own net in the 60th minute to draw Bologna level at 2-2. Just two minutes later, Mbangula restored Bologna's lead after being set up by substitute Juan Miranda.

Milan dominated overall possession with 65%, but failed to break down the visitor's backline in search of an equalizer. In the 86th minute, Mbangula sealed his hat-trick and all three points for Bologna, finishing off an assist from Jens Odgaard to cap a memorable night at Giuseppe Meazza.
